It’s no secret that Team Greedy are huge fans of the Indian restaurant Naamaste Kitchen on Parkway here in Camden (the restaurant that has even been credited with bringing good food back to Camden), so when we were invited to the relaunch event of Namaaste’s big brother, Salaam Namaste over in Bloomsbury, we accepted with pleasure.
Arriving at the Bloomsbury address we were greeted with Indian drummers, colourful balloons and the wonderful aroma of Indian spices. The restaurant itself was devoid of most of its furniture, making it a little hard to judge how it would look under normal circumstances, but we soon found ourselves with glasses of champagne in our hands and lovely Indian nibbles in our bellies (think chicken, paneer, portobello mushrooms and warm naan bread).
All in all, a lovely evening that definitely whet our appetite for more of Sabir’s wonderful Indian cuisine, be it in Bloomsbury or our stable favourite in Camden.
